Warehouse supervisor cover letter example
A strong warehouse supervisor cover letter shows that you can lead people as well as do the work, with the size of your team and one example of solving a problem on the day. Mentioning safety qualifications and the systems you use also helps.

Eastgate Freight & Storage
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to apply for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Eastgate Freight & Storage. I have spent six years in distribution, the last two as a shift supervisor leading twelve operatives on the late shift at a regional distribution centre.
Each day I plan the shift's tasks, run the safety briefing, track orders on the warehouse management system and move people to where they are needed so we meet the dispatch cut-off. Last winter two colleagues were off sick in the same week. I re-planned the rota, took a turn on the packing line myself and we still sent every order out on time.
I like to lead by being on the floor. I coach new starters, keep attendance records and raise problems early with the operations manager rather than letting them build up. I hold IOSH Managing Safely and a counterbalance forklift licence.
Your advert mentions a new chilled storage area, and I would welcome the chance to help set up the shift pattern and train the team for it. I would be glad to discuss the role at interview.
Kind regards,
Marcus Adeyemi
Tips for a warehouse supervisor cover letter
- Open with how many people you have led and on which shift
- Give one example of solving a staffing or workload problem on the day
- Mention your safety qualifications by name, plus any forklift or warehouse system experience
- Show that you coach and hold fair conversations with staff, not only organise tasks
- Use 'Dear Hiring Manager,' with 'Kind regards,' if the advert gives no name
