Picker packer cover letter example
A strong picker packer cover letter shows that you get orders right first time, ideally with one honest number such as items picked per hour. It should also say which shifts you can work and why you want to join that particular warehouse.

Brookfield Fulfilment Centre
Dear Mr Holloway,
I am applying for the Picker Packer role at Brookfield Fulfilment Centre, advertised on your website. For the past two years I have picked and packed online orders in a busy fulfilment warehouse, using a handheld scanner to find items, check them and pack them safely for dispatch.
I care about getting orders right first time. I pick around 110 items an hour and I check each label against the order slip before I seal a parcel. When the warehouse was at its busiest last Christmas, I worked extra weekend shifts and my accuracy stayed above the site target. If a label or item looks wrong, I stop and check with a team leader rather than guess.
I would like to join Brookfield because your advert mentions training on new equipment, and I want a place where I can learn more and, in time, take on extra responsibility. I can work early, late and weekend shifts, I am confident with pallet trucks and cages, and I have completed manual handling training.
Thank you for considering my application. I would be glad to come in for a chat or a trial shift.
Yours sincerely,
Dev Chauhan
Tips for a picker packer cover letter
- Mention the equipment from the advert, such as handheld scanners or pallet trucks, if you have used it
- Give one honest number that shows speed and accuracy, such as items an hour
- Say which shifts you can work, including earlies, lates, nights and weekends
- Keep it to three or four short paragraphs, since warehouse managers read many applications quickly
- If you are new to warehouse work, use an example from another job that shows accuracy and reliability, such as stocking shelves or checking deliveries
