I am writing to apply for the Sales Assistant role at Green Street Shop, which I saw advertised in your window. I currently work on the shop floor and till at a busy high-street clothing shop, where I help customers with sizing and stock, restock shelves and rails, and process returns and exchanges in line with store policy.

During the January sales last year I helped reorganise a busy sale rail so customers could find their size quickly, which kept queues shorter and the shop floor tidy despite the extra footfall. I am used to staying calm and helpful when a shop gets busy, and I take pride in leaving a well-stocked, organised floor at the end of a shift.

I would like to work at Green Street Shop because I have always liked how the store is laid out and how friendly the staff are when I visit as a customer. I am available for weekday, evening and weekend shifts, including opening and closing, and I pick up new till systems quickly.

I currently manage front-of-house duties for a busy professional services office, greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, and coordinating diaries and meeting rooms for a small team. I also handle incoming and outgoing post and keep visitor sign-in records up to date in line with building security procedures.

On a morning when three meetings overran at once, I rearranged the diary, kept visitors comfortably informed of the delay, and made sure each meeting room was ready in turn without anyone feeling rushed. I am confident with Microsoft Office and comfortable handling confidential visitor and post records in line with office procedures.

I would like to work at Oakwood Solicitors because your reception is often the first thing clients mention when I have visited the building, and I would take pride in maintaining that standard. I understand how much a calm, professional first impression matters for a solicitors' office, and I would bring that same care to every visitor and call. I am available for full-time office hours and can start at short notice.

I am applying for the Warehouse Operative vacancy at Redbridge Distribution Centre advertised on your website. I currently pick and pack customer orders at a regional distribution centre, working to daily targets, and I also load and unload delivery vehicles safely, carry out regular stock checks, and use handheld scanners and pallet trucks as part of my daily routine.

During a particularly busy peak trading period, I kept my picking accuracy consistent while the site's order volume nearly doubled, and I flagged a stock discrepancy early enough for the supervisor to correct it before it affected dispatch. I follow manual handling and health and safety procedures closely and keep my work area organised.

Redbridge Distribution Centre has a good reputation locally for training and promoting from within, which is part of why I would like to join the team. I am keen to build a longer-term career in logistics, and the scale of this site would let me develop further within a supportive team. I am flexible with rotating shifts, including early mornings and weekends, and I hold a valid manual handling certificate.

I currently support a class teacher with small group and one-to-one learning activities, and I help pupils with additional needs access the curriculum in line with their individual support plans. I also prepare learning materials and help maintain displays around the classroom to support a settled learning environment.

One pupil I supported found reading aloud in front of the class stressful, so I worked with him one-to-one first and gradually built his confidence to read short passages to a small group, which he now manages happily. I follow safeguarding procedures carefully and communicate pupil progress clearly to teachers and, where appropriate, parents.
