Postal worker cover letter example
A strong postal worker cover letter shows accuracy with addresses and scanning, plus a steady attendance record for early starts and outdoor work. One example of coping with a busy period or bad weather is more convincing than saying you are reliable.

Broadway Mail Services
Dear Mrs Whitaker,
I am writing to apply for the Postal Delivery Worker position at Broadway Mail Services. For the past two years I have worked on a delivery round for a regional delivery office, sorting mail in the morning and delivering letters and parcels on foot and by van.
Accuracy and timing matter most in this job. I sort mail carefully into walk order, scan signed-for items on a handheld device and take misaddressed mail back to the office so it can be corrected. During the Christmas period, when parcel volumes rose, I worked extra hours and still completed my round each day, including on icy mornings.
I am used to early starts and to working outdoors in all weathers, and my attendance record is full. I like getting to know a neighbourhood and being a friendly, familiar face for the people on the round. I am careful on pavements and roads, and I hold a full, clean driving licence for van duties.
I would be glad to join Broadway Mail Services and would welcome the chance to discuss the role. Thank you for reading my application.
Yours sincerely,
Denise Mulholland
