Courier cover letter example
A strong courier cover letter puts your licence, vehicle and insurance in the first paragraph and gives one example of solving a timing problem. It should mention the apps you use and proof-of-delivery methods, and be clear about the hours and areas you can cover.

Swift Lane Couriers
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to apply for the Courier position at Swift Lane Couriers, advertised on your website. For the last three years I have made same-day and next-day deliveries across the city in my own van, and I hold a full UK driving licence and hire and reward insurance.
Couriers live or die on timing and communication. I plan my route in the app each morning, check it again when new jobs arrive and text customers if I am running late. Last month a collection from a medical supplier was moved forward by an hour. I re-planned my round, made the pickup on time and still kept my other deliveries within their slots.
I handle parcels carefully, take photos or signatures as proof of delivery and keep simple records of mileage and expenses for my own accounts. Swift Lane's focus on medical and business deliveries suits me, as I like work where getting it right matters. I can work early starts, evenings and weekends, and I know the city roads well.
Thank you for considering my application. I would be glad to have a chat or try a trial route.
Kind regards,
Ollie Brandt
