Delivery driver cover letter example

Dear Mr Walsh,

I am applying for the Delivery Driver vacancy at Swift Local Couriers advertised on your website. I currently complete multi-drop delivery routes for a local courier company, using route-planning and tracking apps to manage my day and carrying out daily vehicle checks before each shift. I also load my van carefully each morning to keep deliveries organised by drop order and reduce time spent at each stop.

During a particularly high-volume week before Christmas, I still met every agreed delivery window on my route by planning drops carefully and communicating clearly with customers about timings. I hold a full, clean UK driving licence and handle parcels carefully, always obtaining signatures where required.

I would like to join Swift Local Couriers because of your reputation locally for reliable, on-time deliveries, which is a standard I already hold myself to. I enjoy the independence of driving routes and take satisfaction in finishing a round with every parcel delivered on time. I am available for early starts and flexible with route areas as needed.
