Oakhill Decorating
Dear Mr Thornton,
I am writing to apply for the Painter and Decorator role at Oakhill Decorating. I am NVQ Level 2 qualified and have worked for five years in occupied homes and empty rentals, painting, wallpapering and spraying.
The part of the job I care most about is preparation. On a recent Victorian terrace the walls were cracked and uneven, and I spent two days filling, sanding and lining before any paint went on. The owner said the finish looked better than she had hoped, and it has held up well. I measure carefully, order with very little waste, and leave every room tidy, with dust sheets cleared and furniture put back. I also tell customers what I will be doing each day, so there are no surprises.
I have seen Oakhill's work on several local houses and like the clean, careful finish. I hold a CSCS card and a PASMA tower ticket, and I have my own van and equipment. I can work to tight finishing dates and I am happy to take on some weekend work.
Thank you for your time. I would be glad to show you photos of my recent jobs.
Yours sincerely,
Gareth Llewellyn
