Bridgeway Mental Health Services

Dear Hiring Manager,

I would like to apply for the Mental Health Support Worker role advertised by Bridgeway Mental Health Services. I currently work on an inpatient rehabilitation unit for adults, where I support up to twelve people each shift with daily routines, activities and their recovery goals, and I complete observations and progress notes as set out in each care plan.

One person I support was finding evenings very hard and often became distressed. By spending quiet time with him, listening without rushing and agreeing a simple plan of things to do when he felt low, evenings became calmer, and he began to use the plan himself. I have completed de-escalation, safeguarding and mental health awareness training, and I try to stay patient and clear about boundaries.

Bridgeway Mental Health Services stands out to me because of its focus on helping people build a life in the community. I also value supervision and debriefs, which help me keep supporting others well. I hold the Care Certificate and a current enhanced DBS check, and I can work days, nights and weekends.

Thank you for considering my application. I would be glad to attend an interview.

Kind regards,

Callum Reid
