Housekeeper cover letter example
A strong housekeeper cover letter shows care with standards and pace, for example how many rooms you clean in a shift, plus one short example that shows honesty or attention to detail. It should state the shifts you can work, including early starts and weekends.

Ravenscourt House Hotel
Dear Mrs Okonkwo,
I am writing to apply for the Housekeeper position at Ravenscourt House Hotel, which I saw on your website. I have worked as a housekeeper for four years, cleaning and making up around 14 rooms a shift at a 45-room country house hotel.
I take pride in rooms that look right the moment a guest opens the door. I work through a checklist for every room, look for small things such as dust on a lampshade or a missing tea bag, and report faults to maintenance the same day. Last autumn I found a guest's watch behind a bedside table. I took it straight to reception, and it was back with its owner before they checked out.
I know that Ravenscourt has a busy weekend wedding calendar, and I would enjoy being part of the team that gets the rooms ready on those mornings. I am happy to start early and work weekends and bank holidays, and I follow manual handling and COSHH guidance.
Thank you for considering my application. I am happy to give references from my current manager, and I would welcome the chance to meet you and see the hotel.
Yours sincerely,
Rosa Mendes
