Electrician cover letter example
A strong electrician cover letter names your qualifications up front, such as NVQ Level 3 and the 18th Edition, and gives one example of fault finding or neat work. It should also make clear the type of work you do and that you can drive.

Brightline Electrical Services
Dear Mr Sandhu,
I am writing to apply for the Electrician position at Brightline Electrical Services. I am NVQ Level 3 qualified and hold the 18th Edition, and for the past four years I have worked on domestic rewires, consumer unit changes and small commercial jobs for a local contractor.
I take pride in neat work and in explaining it well. Last month I traced a fault that had been tripping a customer's lights on and off for weeks. It turned out to be a loose connection in an old junction box. I fixed it, tested the circuit and showed the customer what had gone wrong so she could see the work was needed. I complete certificates and test results carefully, and I leave every home as clean as I found it.
Brightline's mix of homes and small businesses matches the work I enjoy, and I would like to do more inspection and testing. I have a full UK driving licence, my own tools and an ECS card, and I can start at short notice.
Thank you for your time. I would welcome the chance to meet you.
Yours sincerely,
Fintan Murphy
