Brightside Valet Centre

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the Car Valeter role at Brightside Valet Centre. I have valeted cars for two years at a hand car wash and valeting centre, from quick mini valets to full interior and exterior details.

I like the detail. Before I start, I check the car for existing marks and show them to the customer. I wash by hand, use a dual-action polisher and wax on paintwork, and steam clean seats and carpets. I finish eight to ten cars a day without rushing the result. Recently a customer brought in a car that had been used for carrying dogs. After a long hair and odour treatment she asked for me by name on her next visit.

I keep my products and machines clean and stored safely, following COSHH guidance, and I am careful when moving cars around the site. I hold a full driving licence. I am happy to work weekends and busy bank holiday weeks.

Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome a trial day so you can see my work for yourself.

Kind regards,

Ravi Menon

Questions about car valeter cover letters

Do I need to have worked at a valeting centre before?

No. Cleaning, car sales or other hands-on work with vehicles can all help. Say what you have done and offer a trial day.

Is it all right to mention customers asking for me?

Yes, if it is true. A customer returning or asking for you by name is good evidence of the quality of your work.

Should I mention the machines I have used?

Yes, briefly. Naming polishers and steam cleaners shows you know the equipment without listing every tool.
