Dear Mr Lawson,

I am writing to apply for the Bus Driver vacancy at Westmoor Bus Company. I hold a full category D (PCV) licence and a current Driver CPC, and for the past three years I have driven single-deck buses on town and rural routes for a local operator.

Timekeeping matters to me. I do my walk-round checks before leaving the depot, plan for the known pinch points on each route and keep passengers informed when there is a delay. During a road closure last winter I updated people at each stop and radioed the control room early, and we ran the rest of the day close to timetable.

Give a short example of handling a delay or a difficult moment calmly
