Cashier CV example
A strong cashier CV shows accuracy with money, calm service at a busy till and the reliability to be trusted with cash. It should name real tasks such as cashing up, handling refunds and checking ID for age-restricted items, rather than just saying you served customers.

Tips for a cashier CV
- List the payment systems you have used, such as chip and PIN, contactless, gift cards or self-checkout, so the employer can see you will learn theirs quickly
- Mention age-restricted sales and ID checks if you have done them, because a mistake here matters to the business
- Show that you are trusted with money: cashing up, counting floats, or opening and closing the shop
- Put in a number if you can, such as customers per shift or the size of the float you looked after
- Keep your availability clear, including early starts, late closes and weekends
- Mention shop-floor jobs you did between customers, since many cashiers also fill shelves and tidy the shop
