Nursery practitioner cover letter example
A strong nursery practitioner cover letter opens with your qualification and age group, then tells one short story of a child's progress and what you did. It should show that you understand the EYFS and mention paediatric first aid, safeguarding and your DBS check.

Bramble Hill Nursery
Dear Ms Osei,
I am applying for the Nursery Practitioner vacancy at Bramble Hill Nursery. I hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and currently work in the toddler room of a busy day nursery, where I am key person to six children and plan activities linked to the EYFS.
Last spring, one of my key children had barely spoken at nursery. His mother told me he loved diggers, so I set up a small tray of sand and toy diggers and sat with him each morning, naming what he was doing. Within three weeks he was saying 'big digger' and inviting other children to join him. I wrote this into his learning journey and shared it with his parents, who were delighted.
Bramble Hill Nursery's large garden and forest school sessions are what attracted me to your advert. I enjoy taking learning outdoors, and I would be happy to plan and run those sessions. I hold paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and a current enhanced DBS check, and I am used to early starts.
Thank you for considering my application. I would be happy to visit the nursery and meet the children and staff.
Yours sincerely,
Daisy Fletcher
